Introduction
We recognize that you have provided, and will from time to time be providing us with personal information such as your name and contact information, and information related to sales and after sales service transactions.
How do we use the Information?
As part of our on-going sales and after sales service relationship with you, we disclose and retain your information for the purposes of completing sales and service transactions with you and responding to your
requests for information.
Limiting our use and disclosure of your Information
Any personal information obtained from you is used solely for the purposes above by Geertsma Homes Ltd. If you prefer that we do not use or disclose your information for any of the above listed purposes, you may
notify our Customer Service Representative in writing at any time.
Our use and disclosure of your information for required purposes
We may use, share among us and disclose to the third parties described below, any or all of the information we have collected to the extent that its use and disclosure are necessary for us and the third parties
described to accomplish the following purposes:
- any companies or legal entities that are associated with, related to or affiliated with Geertsma Homes, and, other future declarants that are likewise associated with, related to or affiliated with Geertsma
Homes and are developing one or more other projects or communities that may be of interest to you or members of your family, for the limited purposes of marketing, advertising and/or selling various products
and/or services to you and/or members of your family;
- any financial institution(s) providing (or wishing to provide) mortgage financing, banking and/or other financial or related services to you and/or members of your family, including without limitation, the
Ontario New Home Warranty Program
- any trades/suppliers or sub-trades/suppliers, who have been retained by or on behalf of Geertsma Homes (or who are otherwise dealing with Geertsma Homes) to facilitate the completion and finishing of the home
purchased and the installation of any extras or upgrades ordered or requested by you;
- one or more providers of any security alarm system, cable television, telephone, telecommunication, hydro-electricity, water/hot water, gas and/or other similar or related services to the Property (or any
portion thereof) and/or the Condominium, unless the Purchaser advises the Vendor in writing not to provide any such personal information to an entity providing security alarm and services;
- any relevant governmental authorities or agencies, including without limitation, the Land Titles Office (in which the Condominium is registered), the Ministry of Finance for the Province of Ontario (i.e. with
respect to Land Transfer Tax), and Canada Customs & Revenue Agency (i.e. with respect to GST);
- Canada Customs & Revenue Agency, to whose attention the T-5 interest income tax information return and/or the NR4 nonresident withholding tax information return is submitted (where applicable), which will
contain or refer to your social insurance number or business registration number (as the case may be), as required by Regulation 201(1)(b)(ii) of The Income Tax Act R. S.C. 1985, as amended;
- Geertsma Homes solicitors, to facilitate the interim occupancy and/or final closing of this transaction;
- in the case of a condominium development, the condominium corporation, for purposes of facilitating the completion of the corporation's voting, leasing and/or other relevant records, and to the condominium's
property manager for the purposes of facilitating the issuance of notices, the collection of common expenses and/or implementing other condominium management/ administration functions; and any person, where
you further consent to such disclosure or disclosures required by law.
